Midsummer in Riksgränsen

To Program

While the rest of the country dresses the Midsummer pole in greenery, we do it our own way - with skis on our feet and the mountain wind in our faces.

Celebrating Midsummer in Riksgränsen is about embracing the adventure as it unfolds. Whether we're carrying skis on our shoulders or boots on our feet, the dance around the maypole, the golden midnight sun, and the legendary camaraderie are always guaranteed. Here, we don't just celebrate a holiday – we celebrate being here, in the heart of the elements, where no year is ever the same.

Where tradition meets the midnight sun

Midsummer in Riksgränsen is not just a holiday, it's a legendary experience where the last rides of winter meet the eternal light of summer. Here we celebrate under a sun that never sets, in a setting where the line between seasons blurs.

During the days, we enjoy skiing on soft summer slopes, and as evening approaches, a traditional Midsummer buffet with herring, potatoes, and strawberry cake is served. But the celebration doesn't end when the sun begins to set; for those with extra energy in their legs, we hike up from the mountain station to the summit – a sight where the mountain peaks glow and the landscape is at its absolute most beautiful. This is a sight that stays in your memory and where you are forever free.

Community at the end of the road

Whether you're here to make the season's last turns or just to soak up the unique atmosphere of the lobby bar, Midsummer with us is a celebration of the free life. It's a time to gather friends, enjoy Pelikanhyllan, and savor everything from refreshing drinks to late-night snacks in good company.

As much as we would like to, we cannot control the weather. Therefore, deviations and changes may occur and we cannot guarantee that the ski slopes will be open. But pray to the weather gods with us for a really nice midsummer skiing this year too!
