Upper chairlift out of order

The upper chairlift will not be in operation during the weekends of June 12–14 and the Midsummer weekend of June 19–21 due to a technical fault that cannot be repaired beforehand. The lower chairlift will be open as planned.

This means you cannot ski all the way up the system.

  • As a guest, you can ride the lower chairlift.

  • Afterwards, you can continue up the mountain on foot with your skis in hand/on your back for those who wish.

  • A spray-marked trail starts from the lower lift, and information will also be available in the hotel lobby. The trail will be a mix of hiking in snow and on rocky slabs; good shoes with grip are recommended as it can be slippery.
  • No lift ticket is required to use the lower chairlift on these dates. All pre-purchased lift tickets for these dates will be refunded. and be in your account by June 18th. If you purchased a ski pass in advance and have not received a refund by June 18th, you can contact marknad@laplandresorts.se.

Do you fly drones? Help us keep the airspace safe!

The Swedish Armed Forces and Kallax Flyg AB inform:

  • Kallax Flyg AB carries out helicopter missions in the area at various times throughout the year.
  • The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing conducts periodic training in the area during spring and autumn. Times vary, and information is communicated well in advance via NOTAM.

The helicopters move at different altitudes and times depending on the weather and type of mission.

Since helicopters often fly at low altitudes and have limited evasive capabilities, unplanned encounters with drones can be life-threatening.

Are you flying a drone? Remember to:

  • Always check airspace restrictions before takeoff.
  • Maintain visual contact with your drone at all times.
  • Maintain a proper distance from manned aircraft.
  • Ensure your flight does not interfere with ongoing missions.

Familiarize yourself with the rules of the Swedish Transport Agency www.transportstyrelsen.se/drones.

For questions, please contact Kallax Flyg at 0980-81 000 or info@kallaxflyg.se. Thank you for your consideration!

Military area

Drone flights within and over the Swedish Armed Forces' airport area in Abisko are not permitted. Unauthorized flights will result in interventions/disruptions, which may lead to the drone's functionality being limited and interrupted.
