A night at the mountain lodge

Låktatjåkko Mountain Station – Expedition 1228 m above sea level.

Låktatjåkko Mountain Station was born from the power of the ore railroad expansion. It was the rallers, the hardy pioneers, who first tamed these lands. The station was built in 1939 as a safe outpost in the barren landscape - a construction that required a courage that is still present today in the timber-framed buildings.
