RBS, as we call it, celebrates its 14th edition this year. This competition is created for dedicated snowboarders and aims to bring together the snowboard community for a memorable weekend in Riksgränsen. Thanks to its ideal location right below the main chairlift, the audience can watch and cheer on the participants during the competition. There's probably no better way to enjoy the end of the season than by participating in the competition or being there to support the riders. Join us on the journey! Shuttle buses during Bank Holiday Weekend

During the weekend of the Riksgränsen Banked Slalom, Kiruna Buss is offering a shuttle service between Abisko, Björkliden, and Riksgränsen, with seating for 39 passengers per trip.

For race participants, there are free shuttle buses running between Björkliden and Riksgränsen in the morning, afternoon, and at lunchtime.

For those who want to enjoy live music and the competition, Lapland Resorts, in collaboration with Kiruna Buss, is offering a shuttle service for locals and visitors between Abisko Östra and Riksgränsen.

The route runs between Abisko Ö – Abisko STF (8:48 p.m.) – Björkliden Hotel Fjället (9:00 p.m.) – Riksgränsen ICA.

The route runs between Riksgränsen ICA – Björkliden Hotell Fjället (1:45 a.m.) – Abisko STF (1:55 a.m.) – Abisko Ö. There is also a departure on May 17 at 1:15 a.m.

About the competition

We bring generations of snowboarders together in a unique way in a spectacular location. For some it's the first time they've been back since they were kids in the 90s, others bring their kids to experience the light and atmosphere with them, but most of us see this as something that speaks to their soul as snowboarders. Riksgränsen Banked Slalom is a melting pot of Scandinavian snowboarding where we create new visions and resurrect old legends.

Accommodation under RBS 2026

For RBS 2026, a limited number of rooms and apartments have been reserved in different categories. These are now fully booked.

If you wish to stay in the area, the cottage village Kåppas and the hotel in Björkliden are open for booking all year round, book kåppas stugby here!

Competition participants can also attend a Banquet on May 16th for SEK 485 per person.

  • Ski pass 3 days: 1235 kr. on presentation of the participant registration.

Travel to Riksgränsen and Banked

Board the train in the evening in Stockholm or Gothenburg and wake up in a fantastic mountain environment the next day. You will arrive in Riksgränsenaround lunchtime. VY operates the route, and the journey between Stockholm and Riksgränsen takes approximately 18 hours. From the train station in Riksgränsen, it is only 100 meters to Hotell Riksgränsen.

By plane, you can travel from Stockholm to Kiruna in about 1.5 hours, and then take a bus, train, or car onward to Riksgränsen. The transfer between Kiruna and Riksgränsentakes about 1.5 hours, so it takes no more than about four hours from Stockholm to Riksgränsen.

Take the E4 north, turn left in Töre and then continue on the E10 towards Kiruna and Narvik. You will find us just before the Norwegian border.
