Evening skiing on Walpurgis Night, May 1st
Valborg in Riksgränsen – Skiing under the awakening midnight sun.
Forget bonfires in the rain and cold feet on the city streets. On May 1st, we celebrate Walpurgis Night the only way that counts – with skis on our feet and our faces turned towards a sky that never wants to rest.
Between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM we hold both Upper and lower chairlift open for an evening ski trip beyond the ordinary. It is that special time of year when the Arctic spring shows its absolute most beautiful side with a prelude to the midnight sun's glow.
But the party doesn't end when the lifts close. We bring the endorphin rush straight down to the valley and our very own amusement park – Grönan where Kiruna Kickers play at 10:00 PM.

Experience the feeling of freedom as you glide downhill while the sky slowly shifts from clear blue to a glowing palette of orange-pink and gold. See how the dramatic mountain peaks trace their silhouettes against the soft light – a taste of the midnight sun that will soon dominate our nights.
But the party doesn't end when the lifts close. We bring the endorphin rush straight down to the valley and our very own amusement park – Grönan.
There awaits Kiruna Kickers on stage to deliver the ultimate soundtrack to this Walpurgis Night. Expect high energy, sing-alongs, and that boundless joy that only arises when you mix spring light with really good live music.

About Activities
Good to know
Each activity has a level of difficulty described below. We always adapt the pace to the group to ensure everyone has a great experience.
Relaxing: this is not exhausting at all, on the contrary!
Slow pace: Can be compared to a light walk. As a participant, you can often adapt the effort to your own level.
Moderate: This level of exertion requires a little more from you as a participant. At this level, it is more often a matter of endurance rather than great physical effort, but we recommend a normal level of fitness.
Demanding: This level often requires both willpower and higher physical fitness. We recommend that you talk to our knowledgeable staff in the sports shop if you are unsure.
Quite a challenge: This level requires a lot from you as a participant. You should be both strong and confident behind the brow bone - at this level we will always ensure your suitability before completing the activity.
Depending on the activity, breaks may or may not be included, but we can always make sure to take a break if you need to.
Once booked, the activity will be entered into our system and you will receive a confirmation of your booking. The booking confirmation will give you more information.
On our guided activities we have no specific cancellation protection, but all activities that are canceled 29 days from the date of the activity's implementation give a full refund, up to 24h before implementation, 10% refund is given. Within 24h or in case of no-show, no refund will be given unless otherwise stated as payment is binding for example for specific courses.
